AGMA Releases New Standards on Flexible Couplings The AGMA Technical Division is pleased to announce the publication of two new AGMA standards: ANSI/AGMA 9003-C17, Flexible Couplings – Keyless Fits ANSI/AGMA 9103-C17, Flexible Couplings – Keyless Fits Metric Edition These standards present information on design, dimensions, tolerances, inspection, mounting, removal, and equipment that is in common use with keyless tapered and keyless straight (cylindrical) bore hubs for flexible couplings. AGMA Releases New Standard on Bevel and Hypoid Gear Geometry The AGMA Technical Division is pleased to announce the publication of a new AGMA standard: ANSI/AGMA ISO 23509-B17, Bevel and Hypoid Gear Geometry This standard specifies the geometry of bevel gears. The term ‘bevel gears’ is used to mean straight, spiral, zerol bevel and hypoid gear designs. If the text pertains to one or more, but not all, of these, the specific forms are identified. This standard is intended for use by an experienced gear designer capable of selecting reasonable values for the factors based on his/her knowledge and background.

It is not intended for use by the engineering public at large. ANSI/AGMA ISO 23509-B17 is identical to ISO.

NOTE: Electronic copies of these standards were made available to the AGMA technical representative at each member company via AGMA’s annual standards distribution email to members, which was sent out in late May 2018. Please contact this representative at your company for a PDF of these new standards. If you do not know who your company’s technical representative is, please contact Karina at [email protected]
